Testimonials from Level 2 participants

The Level 2 Presence Psychotherapy training provided a profoundly supportive, spiritual, and educational experience. The program’s unique strength was its intimate, multidimensional approach, which effectively integrated formal instruction with a deeply spiritual, experiential component, fostering a strong group connection to Presence. This experience has really enhanced my Presence Psychotherapy skills and has been very helpful with more challenging cases. – Lauren Pincus, LCSW Certified Presence Psychotherapist, Level 2 participant.

Spending time deepening my understanding and felt sense of Presence Psychotherapy in the Level 2 training took both my practice and my presence to a whole new level. More fully relaxing into the presence that contains me, and then honing my capacity to utilize my own presence as the therapeutic container, has accelerated and intensified the healing available in ways I could never have imagined. I’m deeply grateful to Michelle and Greg, who embodied this quality of presence while teaching. Their way of being made possible a kind of learning enjoyment that integrates mind, body, and spirit in real time. ~ Esti Marcus, LCSW, Certified Presence Psychotherapy, Level 2 participant

As an LCSW for over 40 years, and a meditator for 50, I have sat in many trainings in both disciplines and yet have never experienced any modality as skillful and comprehensive as Presence Psychotherapy Levels1 and 2. Michelle’s own presence and capacity to teach the ineffable is extraordinary as she embodies what is possible; not only for clients but for the therapist. I discovered new capabilities for clients to reach depths of healing through the lens of Presence Psychology; for both client and therapist to access not only the psyche but their Highest Consciousness. This facilitates healing in the most efficient, subtle and effective ways without New Age rhetoric or jargon. Thank you Michelle for having the insights and courage to bring this cutting edge of healing to the therapeutic community.   Barbara Cole-Kiernan, LCSW Level 2 participant

The essence of my experience in the Presence Psychotherapy training was a profound integration of the healing energies of mind, body, and spirit. This extraordinary experiential training offered me access to a deeply embodied sense of compassionate presence allowing for transformative attunement between therapist and client. The gently guided path Michelle so skillfully offers as a way of bringing forth the energies of presence creates a field of safety and support for the processing and unfolding of traumatic experience. My way of being with my clients as well as myself as therapist has reached renewed levels of humanity, understanding and healing. ~Emily Nash Level 2 participant

The Level 2 training was a transformative experience, professionally and personally! It expanded my presence skills and has deepened my work especially with more complex clients.  Highly recommend! – Cathleen Lawrence, LCSW Certified Presence Psychotherapist, Level 2 participant

While Presence Psychotherapy Institute goes to great lengths to assure fair treatment for all participants and attempts to anticipate problems, there will be occasional issues which come to the attention of the convention staff which require intervention and/or action on the part of the staff or an officer of Presence Psychotherapy Training. This procedural description serves as a guideline for handling such grievances that relate to refund requests, complaints about course content, speakers, facilities, nonreceipt of certificates, and other miscellaneous occurrences.

When a participant, either orally or in written format, files a grievance and expects action on the complaint, the following actions will be taken.

1. If the grievance concerns a speaker, the content presented by the speaker or the style of presentation, the individual filing the grievance will be asked to put his/her comments in written format to the Ethics Chair and Social Work Consultant who will then pass on the comments to the speaker, assuring the confidentiality of the grieved individual.

2. If the grievance concerns a workshop offering, its content, level of presentation, or the facilities in which the workshop was offered, the CE committee chair Michelle Lepak, LCSW, Executive director, Social work Consultant Gregory Carson, LCSW and Ethics Chair, Dr. Cohen-Katz, will mediate and will be the final arbitrator. If the participant requests action, the convention chair will:

a) attempt to move the participant to another workshop or
b) provide a credit for a subsequent year’s workshop or
c) provide a partial or full refund of the workshop fee.

Actions 2b and 2c will require a written note, documenting the grievance, for record keeping purposes. The note need not be signed by the grieved individual.

3. If the grievance concerns a Presence Psychotherapy CE program, in a specific regard, the CE committee will attempt to arbitrate.

Grievances will be responded to within 24 hours. Grievances will be heard and attempts will be made to resolve the grievance. Grievances would receive, to the best of our ability, corrective action in order to prevent further problems.
